Hi, I'm Dakota, a Miniature Australian Shepherd and this blog is all about me!
I was born on October 1, 2011 and I live with a great family in Indiana.  Although I'm the only Mini Australian Shepherd in the family, I have 7 other canine aunts, uncles, big sisters and big brothers of all colors and sizes.  That means I get to play a lot--and I like it.


The other day, my humans took me to see the vet.  I guess I needed a shot that only vets can give. (My human mother had already given me a bunch of other shots a few days before.)  Anyway, the vet told us that Native Americans believed that a dog with two different colored eyes (I have one blue and one brown eye) were able to see into the sole of humans and could recognize the quality of their character.

That made me feel pretty special.  Ever since, I've been doing my best to look deep into the eyes of everyone in my human family.  It's not as easy as you'd think.  But I think I've got a pretty good idea about them and I'm happy that I live with them.
Well, I gotta run.  I think I hear a squeaky toy calling my name.
